The exquisite Ximongwe River Camp Hippo Cottage is situated in the heart of pristine African bushveld, approximately 40km north of Hoedspruit in the Balule Parsons Nature Reserve. This nature reserve forms part of the greater Kruger National Park.

Accommodation at Ximongwe River Camp in the Hippo Cottage is provided in a luxurious, beautifully styled self-catering house which features 5 spacious double bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a large communal area housing the kitchen, indoor dining room and lounge.  The lounge leads onto a balcony with beautiful views over the river and the tranquil bushveld which lies beyond.
