ACCOMMODATION OVERVIEW

Welcome to Nkala Safari Lodge… An exclusive, upmarket self-catering lodge ideally situated in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, which forms part of the renowned Pilanesberg National Park. The Big 5, Malaria Free reserve is a mere 2.5 hours drive from Johannesburg and only 35 minutes from Sun City. 

Ideally designed for family and friends in need of an opulent bushveld escape, the child friendly lodge comprises 6 en-suite luxury suites to accommodate a maximum of 12 guests.

The lodge is booked out to 1 group at a time and comprises 4 Luxury Suites, 1 Honeymoon Suite (each with king size beds) and a Cub Suite with 2 twin beds that inter-leads to 1 of the luxury suites. For families with young children, a compactum and crib is available. 

Each suite is gracefully designed and set with Egyptian cotton, electric blankets, in-room safe, separate lounge, dressing room and a vanity deck. The en-suite bathrooms are complete with freestanding baths, a double shower, double vanities, outside showers and a separate toilet.

Nespresso coffee machines are available in each suite for one to enjoy on their own private deck area with outdoor seating (bring own coffee pods)

Spend a lazy afternoon or self-indulgent morning relaxing on the tastefully furnished Viewing Deck, whilst keeping an eye out for one of the elusive Big 5 coming to quench their thirst. The Viewing Deck is also a treat for avid birders, as the area is often visited by a myriad of the 300 bird species found in the area.

Game drives by a qualified game ranger are included in your stay – though please note the Safari vehicle is limited to a maximum of 10 guests (including children). Each drive is approximately 2,5 hours long and commences in the early mornings and late afternoons. 

The main lodge has a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan dining and lounge area and a bar area. The lounge is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels. The covered patio outside is set with outdoor dining furniture ideal for alfresco entertainment. 

A swimming pool with safety net and 6 sun loungers is available, whereas the open air boma is an ideal spot to enjoy your favourite drink and watch the African sun bid farewell to yet another day in African paradise.

A cot is available (on request) a mattress and sheet are included but no bedding, as well as a feeding or high chair for babies

No game drives with private vehicles are allowed on Black Rhino Game reserve

Sign in at the gate and either request a pick up from the gate if you do not want to drive your car on the dirt roads and the establishment will come and collect you, or drive directly to the lodge
