Self-catering accommodation in Port Edward on the KZN South Coast. Port Edward is a small but buzzing beach resort approximately 2 hours’ drive from Durban.
A popular destination and situated alongside the beach with beautiful unobstructed ocean views. The main swimming beach is within easy walking distance and the Wild Coast Casino is a 5km drive south.
Each unit (except Unit 4) is fully equipped for self-catering with a fridge, microwave, 2 plate stove and cutlery/crockery. The chalets have limited DSTV and each is equipped with a private braai area.
Direct beach access and a large feature rock pool which overlooks the ocean.
Unit 1 has sea and breaker views and can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. The unit consists of a spacious room with a queen bed, a double sleeper couch with an e-suite shower and a kitchenette. The rooms opens onto the patio with braai facilities and outdoor furniture.
Unit 2 is a 2 roomed chalet which can accommodate up to 5 adults and 3 children. The main room has a queen size bed, a double sleeper couch and the 2nd room has a queen size bed with bunk beds. The chalet has an en-suite shower and a kitchenette and opens onto a private patio with braai facilities.
Unit 3 is a cosy chalet for a maximum of 2 adults. This unit has a queen size bedroom with a kitchenette and an en-suite shower.
Unit 4 is a Bed & Breakfast chalet for 2 people (no self-catering facilities). The unit is equipped with a kettle and bar fridge and has a queen size bed and an en-suite shower
Unit 5 is a large 2 roomed chalet with an en-suite shower which can accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. The main room has a king size bed and the other has a double sleeper couch and bunk bed/single bed.
Unit 6 is a spacious 2 roomed chalet for 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years sharing. The main room has a king size bed – a double sleeper couch and bunk bed or single bed.
The self-catering establishment was originally built in 1968 and is still operational to date – its beams are visible for 40km.
