ACCOMMODATION OVERVIEW
Located along the banks of the seasonal Mohlabetsi River and in the Big 5 Balule Parsons Game Reserve, one finds this 8 sleeper private retreat, ideal for Safari goers.
The luxury lodge offers 4 secluded chalets set overlooking the sandy riverbed which attracts a variety of wildlife throughout the day and is ideal for those romantic getaways and friendly reunions. This extensive yet understated luxury lodge can be likened to a family home, offering both catered or self-catered options. To complete your safari adventure, enjoy two professionally guided safaris each day.
The 4 luxury chalets are set with many windows to allow maximum light into the room and the windowsills are wide, and decked out with soft pillows, making them the ideal spot to recline, either with a good book or a pair of binoculars. Shutters provide privacy and coolness during the summer afternoons. En-suite bathrooms feature separate toilets and unique walk-in showers with views of the bush.
Plush cotton percale linen adorns each bed with warm fluffy blankets for those chilly winter nights. Cosy arm chairs are positioned to maximise the views and double French doors open out onto a private deck overlooking the dry riverbed.
The decor of this unique lodge has been inspired by East African and Moroccan influences. Its spacious and well-equipped kitchen at its heart is where sumptuous meals are prepared for you or by you depending on the package you choose.
There is a comfortable private lounge with double doors opening onto a small sparkling pool. The viewing deck that surrounds the main living area has an undercover thatched verandah, the ideal place to sit and relax out of the heat of the sun. All main living areas enjoy the facility of wifi where you can share your special moments with others.
Evenings are spent around a magnificent fire pit, in comfortable giant moon chairs listening to the night life and telling stories of amazing game sightings and sharing the experiences of the day.
With a choice of 4 dining areas indoors and out, the lodge offers a comfortable yet casual environment with an air of sophistication.
As the lodge is booked on a self-catering basis, your meals can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen which has top end appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and double eye-level oven, fridges and freezers.
The staff are on hand to assist in getting fires started for that true South African braai and are in attendance to tend to daily housekeeping and kitchen cleaning duties. Tea, coffee and rusks are provided, as are two safaris per day and use of all the lodge facilities. Ice and wood is available for purchase.
