The unique Tsauchab River Lodge in the Sossusvlei area is situated on the banks of the river, surrounded by the impressive Naukluft and Tsaris Mountains. 

Ideally situated to explore the vast, rugged expanses of the south western areas of Namibia, the lodge is 30km south west of Namib Naukluft Park entrance and 70km east of Sesriem Canyon and the entrance to Sossusvlei.

This well organised lodge is owner managed and provides both camping and chalet accommodation.  The chalets are not equipped for self-catering, however, there is a restaurant on site where delicious freshly prepared meals and homemade breads are served. In addition, there is a farm shop which sells a variety of salads, meats and breads.

The stone chalets comprise 2 family units, 3 double bed chalets and 4 twin bed chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms & braai facilities, comfortably furnished and well camouflaged amongst the indigenous trees. The chalets do not have electrical points, only 12 V lights.

The 14 camp sites are spread over 15km of shady river frontage. The camp sites have private ablution blocks with hot water, barbeque facilities but no power or electricity.
