Tandje Beach Resort, also know at Ponta do Ouro Camp, is located virtually on the beach in the main town of Ponta do Ouro, overlooking the boat launch site and the bay.

This Ponta resort offers visitors affordable and basic camp sites with communal ablutions.

The rates for the campsites differ according to size, proximity to beach and whether or not the site has a power point.

The beach in front of the campsite is ideal for water sports, sunbathing and beach games. In the village, there is quad bike hire, and the sand roads in the area provide some exiting times for 4x4 enthusiasts.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Campers are advised to bring extension leads to connect to power points.

Guests are advised to bring own bottled water for drinking and cooking. The water at Tandje Camp is from a borehole and is a rust colour.

There are no braai facilities, guests are advised to bring own braai grid and/or gas braai

No bikes (including quad bikes) are permitted within the Tandje grounds (they may be parked inside and driven quietly in and out of the grounds.

Guests are also advised to bring a cooler box for meat (best to freeze and vacuum pack meat).

Water pressure in the basins and showers is sporadic – especially during busy periods when the ablutions do become unpleasant.
