Primo Cabanas & Camping in Ponta do Ouro is situated across the road from the main beach in Ponta.

Offering budget (no frills accommodation), the 5 bedroom self-catering house can accommodate 2-10 people.

The 5th bedroom is a separate unit with a bathroom and kitchenette.  This unit can be rented separately or together with the main house (there is an inter-leading door to main house which is locked if not required)

There are two showers, two toilets and the kitchen is spacious and equipped with a dining table, fridge/freezer combo, oven/stove with 4 burners as well as basic cooking utensils and crockery.

The deck looks over the beach (limited seaviews due to trees and shrubery) which is approximately 300m from the house.

In addition, there is a 2 bedroom (5 sleeper) log cabin on the property. This cabin has two double beds and a single bed.  There is a kitchenette, lounge and bathroom.

There are two small and private campsites which can each accommodate 6 campers.  Each site houses a large white marquee which campers can pitch their tents under. The campsites have newly constructed, separate ablutions for ladies and gents.

Centrally located in Ponta, all the restaurants, bars and shops in the area are within walking distance.  In addition, there is a restaurant next door to Primo Cabanas as well as at the square, which is approximately 200m from the property.

The camping area could do with a proper dish washing station -  that was all we lacked. The ablutions were clean and everyone helpful and friendly.

We will definitely go there again.
