Dhow Bay Villa is a beautiful beach house in Barra with direct beach access, modern furnishings and stunning ocean views from the upstairs master suite, the house is just 25m from the beach.

Surrounded by whispering palm trees and a lush green lawn, the house can accommodate 8 people and consists of 4 en-suite bedrooms with showers, (two of which have a double bed and the other two have single beds), and an open plan area  comprising the kitchen, dining and lounge. The master suite is located upstairs and leads onto a private patio with awesome ocean views.

Dhow Bay Villa has a private swimming pool, direct beach access and braai facilities.

Centrally situated on Barra Beach, close to beach bars and restaurants with the added bonus that no 4x4 vehicle is required, Dhow Bay Villa is ideal for those wanting the ultimate beach holiday!

Thanks we had a great holiday and the house is a real gem and we are very fond of our holidays in Barra at this house.  Its position and layout are great.

I would rate the house overall a 4 (good)

This is our second time staying at the house over Dec / Jan so I believe we have a few constructive comments for the owners:

The house was poorly equipped from a kitchen perspective – too few glasses and bread boards (we had to buy bread boards and glasses which we left at the house)

The house needs hooks to hang towels up on outside (no place to hang stuff up)

Bathrooms needs racks and hooks to put toiletries and towels etc., as well as tables

The pool is a great addition.  Perhaps most importantly the house really does need air-conditioning – it was particularly hot when we were there (average temp between 34 – 37C) with little wind.  Total of 9 Nights with no aircon was difficult for people as the house really does bake.

The staff are great……

Other than that we had a great stay and would love to return, but would only return if there is Air Conditioning
