The wooden bench on the Balcony broke when we sat on it, this is due to lack of maintenance and ware and tare.  Lucky we did not get hurt.

The Toilet in the house was always leaking badly even the corridor was under water, so we had to use the outside Toilet.

This is a really nice Facility, but it needs some attention.

Louise, January 2022 – ponta do ouro private house

Our stay at Private house was extremely disappointing to say the least. The house is not maintained at all and is in a shocking state.

  • When we arrived, the pool was a horrible scary very dark green. For 7 days we did not put a toe in that pool as it was disgusting. We paid for it but could not use it.
  • Then the aircon in one bedroom was not working. The excuse was there was no gas. This was reported on the second day and it was never filled or fixed. Hence, we needed to then sleep on the floor in the lounge as it was unbearably hot.
  • And the cherry on the cake was the geyser burst. We have water pouring down the walls in 2 bedrooms and the passage area for days and water everywhere. We used the room bins to try and catch some of the water. Very dangerous as we had to climb over buckets to get to the toilet and deal with slippery floors.

Then we had no water because someone decided to switch the pump off.

Electricity- how can you have 2 separate levels and only 1 meter. We had the people from the bottom just walking in to our section to load electricity.

The house is very basic but lovely. The entertainment area was wonderful we really used that a lot. Location was perfect, we walked everywhere because we were right in town. Bongani and Adel who are looking after the place are Total Gems! J They saw to our every need and made us feel so special. We will definitely book again.
