Gala-Gala Eco Resort in Ponta do Ouro brings you back to nature - set amongst indigenous bush accompanied by amazing bird life and a magnificent beach close by.
The word Gala-Gala means Gecko in the local dialect. The bush surroundings we enjoy are teeming with many Geckos and lizards of all shapes and sizes so this is the inspiration for our name.
Accommodation at Gala-Gala is provided in private camp sites, self-catering standard and deluxe reed cabanas. Guests may make use of the communal swimming pool which is a popular spot in the summer months.
The Reed cabanas are nestled discretely in the bushy, topical surrounding. There are 2 sleeper & 4 sleeper reed cabanas - guests have a choice of Standard or Deluxe.

Thank you Mandy and your team for another amazing holiday at Gala Gala! We loved the peaceful atmosphere of the resort and the friendliness of everyone that worked there. Mandy always went out of her way to make sure that we were ok, even when the electricity went out. We will definitely be back! Thank you again, Melissa and Neil

Only thing that we all thought would be nice would be a fixed fireplace.
The only bad thing was the ash and charcoal which was under the sand from previous camper’s fires. I understand that the general rule is that you don’t want anything that can start a fire, but I think a small “braai” build somewhere save on each private camp site would be a profit to the camp.
We had a great time and will definitely camp again!!
Thanks again!!!
