Was a great pleasure to include Cowrie lodge into our travelling plans. With a beautiful sea view from the front stoep, together with friendly and hardworking staff, this accommodation was more than we asked for.

Once again we had a wonderful time at Cowrie Lodge. It truly is a little bit of heaven and amazing value for money. Laura and Manual and staff looked after us so well......what a treat to have all your washing up and laundry done for you on holiday in a self-catering establishment. I would rate everything at Cowrie a 5/5 within its self-catering category.......it's very well equipped and has a wonderful private position overlooking the Ocean. If I was fussy I would ask for updated linen etc. but at the price charged it's perfectly acceptable.

Going to Mozambique is always a treat and such a good experience. But in all honesty this was the best time we have spent in Barra since we started going to Mozambique for holidays back in 2008.
This is largely because of the great facility at Cowrie Lodge and also for the service we have received. Thanks to all Members and staff of Cowrie Lodge for the time we spent there!
Most amazing sunsets and sunrises with a great view. Privacy was also a factor which played a part in making our stay worthwhile. It is a perfect house for the full Mozambique vibe with the facilities being in great touch.
Thanks for the amazing time we spent at Cowrie Lodge.
R. Kruger (January 2016)
We had the most amazing time and the best holiday ever. The house is wonderful and the view to die for! Short walk to the beach also great. We can truly give 5 stars to every category. Laura and Manuel are great and their help was much appreciated.
H. Sutherland (April 2013)
We had a great stay at Cowrie, even more memorable than our previous stay.
R. Stander (December 2012)
We really enjoyed the simplicity of the establishment…. Keep it that way please! Once does not want to feel as if you are in your own home. The design and layout of the accommodation, the view and the low key setting make it feel like a holiday in Mozambique.. not Umhlanga Rocks! That is what we travelled to experience. The staff esp Manuel were very friendly and helpful.
