Fifty Seven Waterberg is the ideal choice for a weekend break. Just 3 hours from Johannesburg, the lodge is situated in the exclusive Big Five Welgevonden Game Reserve, A reserve renowned for its excellent game viewing and beautiful scenery, which forms part of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve (an official World Heritage Site). 

The 5-star oasis is surrounded by natural beauty and is malaria free. The intimate setting is ideal for couples and families in search of genuine African escape.

The 10 beautifully designed suites offer privacy and luxury, and vary in design and amenities. 

The 4 x 2 Sleeper Classic Suites are situated on a small hill, offering intimacy with king size beds and private decks. The suites offer air-conditioning, fans, en-suite bathrooms with double vanities, shower and bath. 

The Luxury Thatched Suite is a perfect mixture of modern and traditional classic and offers a king bed, private patio, air-conditioning, fans, shower, bath and double vanities. 

The 4 x 2 Sleeper Luxury Suites offer an added slice of luxury with the same amenities, however equipped with a private solar heated plunge pool. Two of these suites are ideal for families as they have interleading doors.

The Honeymoon Suite offers all that a newly married couple could ask for, with a heated jet pool that overlooks a waterhole. and is situated next to a large rock fig tree. In addition an outdoor shower is available. 

Just because one is in the “bush”, there’s no need to skimp of Five star cuisine. At Fifty Seven Waterberg, meals are authentic with a strong focus on healthy ingredients and quality meals. Meals are served in the dining room, or weather permitting, on the deck overlooking nature or around the boma fire, for the perfect romantic setting under the stars.

Big Five Game viewing is the heart of the reserve, and what makes Welgevonden Game Reserve so unique. No self-drives are permitted in the reserve, and a private safari vehicle with game ranger is included in the rate. (limited to one game drive per day), however an additional game drive can be arranged on request (additional cost)
