ACCOMMODATION OVERVIEW
Kingfisher Bush Lodge is situated in Kosi Bay, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Perfectly situated close to 3rd lake which is the largest of the Kosi lake system. The Lodge is easily reachable via a short dirt and sandy road in a normal sedan however a 4x4 is required to visit the surrounding beaches and lakes.
Accommodation comprises 4 standard safari tents and 4 luxury tented chalets, accommodating up to 16 guests – ideal for an intimate and personalised escape.
The standard safari tents accommodate up to 2 guests per unit and are basic yet comfortable with 2 twin beds, a night light, power point, fan, bedside table, private patio and communal kitchen, bathroom and braai facilities.
The luxury tented chalets sleep up to 2 guests, with a few added luxuries to make your stay more comfortable. Amenities include air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped open plan kitchen, covered patio and a private braai area.
Relax in the swimming pool or in the beautiful garden under huge flat top of indigenous trees. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of meals for one to enjoy.
The area is host to a number of unspoiled and pristine activities – excursions to enjoy include turtle tracking, hiking and visiting the popular Kosi Mouth which is renowned for its clear waters, tranquillity and abundance of fish species. One can book a number of activities at the on-site tourism office.
The main town is Manguzi, (11 kilometres away) from Kingfisher Bush Lodge. Most supplies and food can be bought in Manguzi town, however it is always recommended to bring camping and emergency supplies with.

The Lodge can be reach in a normal sedan but a 4x4 is required to visit surrounding areas (including Kosi Bay Mouth, Bhanga Neck, Lala Neck, Black Rock and Mozambique)
No water-skiing, yachting, jet-skiing or other water sport is permitted
Pets are not permitted
No person is allowed to visit Kosi Estuary, Bhanga Nek, Black Rock, Rocktail Bay or Lala Nek without a valid permit
Permits to visit Kosi Mouth, Bhanga Nek and Black Rock, available Kosi Bay Reserve’s offices. These permits are issued on a first come first served basis
