Our friends were really looking forward to our annual girls getaway – the photos of Koesterfontein looked amazing, but we were very disappointed on arrival and throughout our stay. The flies were a disaster, we were constantly squatting them with paper plates as no Doom/Fly repellents are made available – It is clearly a HUGE problem, in which no one has done anything about.

We actually got a friend to come bring 2 bottles, we sprayed the whole house – closed the doors, and flies were all over the house again. The house needs a thorough cleaning!! The glasses etc were grummy and sticky. There is definetly not enough cutlery or utensils to be marketed as a 10 sleeper – and there weren’t even 10 of us. The pool looked beautiful in photos (that we looked up online), though it was dirty and needs to be emptied and filled with clean water!

We were advised there is security patrolling the fence, though they were no where to be seen – being a bunch of girls, with no fencing in a very isolated area – we were actually scared come night time. There is 1 lantern, in which no candles are provided.

The only positive feedback is that the linen was clean and beautiful views. The house has so much potential, but has just been ignored. It’s a pity.
