Kosi Bay Casitas offers rustic Self-Catering, Backpacker and Camping Accommodation from R330.00 per adult in a Self-Catering Chalet.

Kosi Bay Casitas is a rustic getaway situated on the northern-most tip of the Elephant Coast in KwaZulu-Natal. Bordering the unspoiled wilderness of the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve, Kosi Bay has loads to offer the adventurous visitor.

Offering various accommodation options including self-catering casitas (small chalets), camping/caravanning and a backpacker dorm, the establishment overlooks a picturesque wetland.

The lake system, located in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, comprises four lakes that are interlinked by sandy channels which lead to the Kosi Bay Mouth - an area renowned for its marine biodiversity and a popular destination for fishermen and snorkelers alike.

Kosi Bay Casitas is within walking distance from Third Lake or Nhlange, where visitors can swim or fish in the crystal blue waters or take a stroll through the beautiful, tangled coastal forests and mangrove swamps.

The self-catering chalets comprise 1-3 bedrooms suitable for 2-8 guests. The chalets have fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms with showers and outdoor braai areas.

Pemba is the Backpackers Lodge and consists of a rustic, 3 bedroom casita with 2 double rooms and a dorm room which can accommodate 6 guests on bunk beds.  The unit has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom with shower and an outdoor braai area.

The camping and caravan sites are situated under shady, indigenous trees.  Most of the sites have electrical points, water points nearby and braai facilities. There are communal ablutions with hot water for campers.

The on-site bar and restaurant is vibrant, colourful, flavourful, hot, zesty and exciting… enjoy a mouth-watering selection of seafood and traditional fare, amongst other delectable creations.

Exquisite white beaches within a 15km radius, exotic coastal forests and sparkling lakes replenish weary souls and rejuvenate tired minds – bring flip-flops, sunscreen, sarongs and an adventurous spirit!
