Thakadu Bush Camp is situated just 5km's South of Ghanzi, overlooking a calcrete pan and waterhole of extraordinary beauty, surrounded by ancient lead wood trees and frequented by large numbers of indigenous wildlife, including a wonderful variety of both resident and migrant birds.

Accommodation at Thakadu Bush Camp is provided in a choice of double and family rooms with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and spacious balconies overlooking the Kalahari Bushveld.

The 2 sleeper thatched chalets are elevated and offer en-suite bathrooms with air-conditioning. Raised menu tents offer wonderful, rustic comfort with 2 twin beds (an additional single bed can be added for children) The pre-erected cottage chalets are designed for budget travellers, with electric lights and communal ablution facilities.

Camping is made available under wonderful leadwood trees, shaded with communal ablutions, drinking water, power points and braai (barbeque) areas.

Larger groups can be accommodated at Nokus Nook - an exclusive, 8 sleeper, self-catering camp in a secluded and private area, 2.5km's from the main lodge. Groups can relax in the large lapa area with a private swimming pool whilst admiring animals that come to drink at the waterhole.

The Restaurant is widely held to serve some of the best food in Botswana including a comprehensive range of venison dishes and our lovely raised swimming pool which overlooks the waterhole is a great spot to relax at Thakadu Camp.

At Thakadu Bush Camp the resident Bushmen (San) delight in showing visitors their extraordinary survival skills, and if pre- requested, are available to dance in the evenings. Game Drives and Guided Walks are all available on the reserve.
