103 Chicuanga (Vida Tranquila) is situated between Xai Xai and Chidenguele. Chicuanga is a family orientated resort, ideally positioned on the primary dune which provides stunning views over the coast line and ocean.

This quaint self-catering chalet can accommodate 6 people and comprises two double, air-conditioned bedrooms and a loft room with two single beds. There is one bathroom with a shower.

The open plan living areas all have sea views and comprise of a lounge, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.  Leading off the living area is a large two-tier deck.  The upper deck is furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture and the lower deck has a private swimming pool alongside the braai facility.

Steps from the deck provide direct beach access from the chalet.

The kitchen has gleaming wood counters and is kitted out with a 4 plate stove, small fridge with top freezer and a small chest freezer.  There is also a microwave, kettle, toaster, pots/pans and utensils.

This cosy, wooden chalet is perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. The beach in front of the resort has a reef which provides a natural tidal pool with excellent snorkelling and safe swimming.

Chicuanga Resort is situated between Xai Xai and Chidenguele.

The loft room is more suitable for children as the loft height is limited over the beds (adults can stand and walk in the loft space)

4x4 Vehicles are not a necessity, however, during the rainy season the dirt road to the lodge can be a challenge for vehicles with low ground cover

Directions

Head North from Maputo/ Ressano Garcia border Post. Follow the EN1 signage to Xai Xai. 35km past the Xai-Xai bridge there is a dirt turn off marked Chicuanga Resort. Continue on dirt road for 7km until you arrive at the entrance to the resort (entrance is shared with East Africa Safaris)
