Hanlin Lodge in the Waterberg offers self-catering and camping accommodation in a tranquil setting. Rates from R350.00 per person

Hanlin Lodge in the Waterberg Region offers three self-catering chalets, a honeymoon suite, a self-catering house and camping facilities.

Hanlin Lodge was established to give visitors who enjoy nature the opportunity to relax in comfort in tranquil bushveld surroundings – a place where you can still see sunrises, sunsets and stars and hear the birds, frogs and crickets.

The three quaint wooden chalets nestle on the water’s edge. Each chalet is fully air-conditioned and can accommodate 6 people in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms per chalet, a double pull-out divan in the living room and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, including braai facilities. Fishermen can enjoy fishing from the comfort of your own private veranda!

The Honeymoon Suite is privately situated and comprises a single room with a large bath and outside shower with stunning views over the surrounding vegetation.

The Gatehouse is a renovated farm house which provides additional accommodation approximately 3km from the main lodge.  The Gatehouse offers two double bedrooms, bathroom, open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge which can accommodate a further 2 people on single beds.

There are 6 shady camp sites with braai facilities, power points and lights near the dam.  The communal bathrooms are rustic with toilets, hot water showers and a bath for the ladies

A large wooden function hall over the water caters for up to 140 people with a fully licenced bar, well equipped kitchen and state-of-the-art sound equipment to ensure that every function will be an enjoyable occasion.

At night the reflection of the lights creates a festive atmosphere that turns any event or wedding into a celebration. Two wooden bridges lead to the chapel on the other side of the dam.

Both water and bushveld birds can be watched from the comfort of the chalet's decks and in the late afternoons and evenings, guests may see various game species coming to drink in the flood-lit area next to the dam, while fish and turtles feast on insects on the water surface.

The variety of game (impala, giraffe, red hartebeest, zebra, blesbuck, waterbuck, kudu, gemsbuck and warthog) and more than 156 recorded bird species ensure a pleasant walk or game drive on the farm.
